Waterfalls, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, fountains… here are the coolest posts to discover on the Reggio Apennines.
1: Golfarone Waterfall
and Golfarone Falls are one of the jewels of the Secchiello Valley and in particular of the nearby Villa Minozzo. About fifteen meters high and are rich in jumps that, over the centuries, have given life to pools of crystal clear water, like the emerald one at the base of the waterfall. A real spectacle for the eyes!

2: Ligonchio hydroelectric plant
In the Municipality of Ligonchio there are two Enel hydroelectric power plants, built since the ’20s. Since 2009, the plant has hosted the Water and Energy Atelier, an important pedagogical-scientific atelier on the physical phenomena of water and electricity production. It is really worth finding time for a visit. ????

3: Sources of Poiano
The springs as well as for the large amount of flow, are noteworthy for the particular nature of the water that has the characteristics of mineral waters with high salinity. If you are looking for a lovely place to relax, well what can I say… You are in the perfect place!

4: Calamone Lake
Lake Calamone rises on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, Ramiseto. Surrounded by dense forests of beech and conifers, it is dominated by the homonymous mountain. The lake is of glacial origin and is located at an altitude of about 1400 m. A wonderful place in every season:
• in winter it is a ski resort,
• in spring and autumn it is ideal to breathe some “good air”
• In summer you can find refreshment under the fresh branches of the trees.

5: Cerreto Laghi
Immersed in the National Park of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, Cerreto Laghi rises around a lake of glacial origin, part of a system of lakes formed by the melting of ancient glaciers, in addition to Lake Cerretano, we meet the lakes Scuro, Le Gore and Pranda.
