AppenninoEmilia is the unique portal of the Emilian Apennines that includes the territory of Piacenza, Parma and Reggio Emilia.

The portal is designed and created in a coordinated manner with the www.visitemilia.com site and included in the Tourist Information System – SITur of the Emilia Romagna Region.

The Emilia-Romagna Region with managerial determination n. 13080 of 10 August 2016, at the conclusion of the selection procedure announced with the public call approved by resolution no. 1004/2015, approved the final ranking of the Community-led Local Development Strategies Measure 19 of the RDP 2014-2020 LEADER approach – and definitively assigned to the Local Action Group GAL DEL DUCATO the resources due to the financial plan contained in the related Action Plan.

Two projects, Territorial Marketing of the Apennines and Apennine Portal, which the GAL DEL DUCATO for the marked specificity considered it appropriate to carry out in agreement mode, thus entrusting their implementation to the “Emilia” Tourist Destination Authority, so that, given the institutional purposes and technical-scientific capacity, it would guarantee a correct execution of the interventions envisaged by the projects themselves.

A similar agreement has been stipulated with the GAL ANTICO FRIGNANO E APPENNINO REGGIANO EU REG. N. 1305/2013 – PSR REGIONE EMILIA-ROMAGNA 2014/2020 MEASURE 19 SUPPORT FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT OF A PARTICIPATORY TYPE LEADER CALL FOR ACTION SR 2014/2020 MEASURE 19 SUPPORT FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT OF A PARTICIPATORY TYPE LEADER – MEASURE 19.2.02 – SUBACTION B.1.2.a Project TERRITORIAL PROMOTION AND MARKETING OF THE EMILIA APENNINES – REGGIANO TERRITORY – as regards the Reggio Emilia Apennine territory.

These are the specific projects:

1. Project “Territorial Marketing of the Apennines” – RDP 2014-2020 Operation 19.2.02 Specific actions for the implementation of the strategy: Project in agreement B.3.1.b “PROMOTION AND UNITARY AND COORDINATED MARKETING – Application for support nr. 5159765. Granting of support approved by Gal Resolution no. 53 of 29/05/2020.

2. Project “Portale Appennino” – RDP 2014-2020 Operation 19.2.02 Specific actions for the implementation of the strategy: Project in agreement B.2.1.b “PORTALE APPENNINO – Application for support nr. 5159758.Granting of support approved by Gal Resolution no. 53 of 29/05/2020.

On 24/05/2026 the GAL of the DUCATO with prot. 114/2026 notified DESTINAZIONE TURISTICA EMILIA of the granting of support for the project “PSP and CoPSR 2023/2027 Intervention SRG06 DU_AS_08C Convention “Support for tourism promotion”

Two strands of activity are planned:

1. Organization and management of Valley Tables: the objective of the activity is to relaunch and accompany the activity of 5 territorial working tables, a legacy of the previous planning, but renewed in composition. In addition, within the same tables it is intended to improve the management and updating of the www.appenninoemilia.it portal and the related APP, enhancing the role of IATs in the editorial context of these tools as content providers.

2. Participation in fairs and events: i.e. the communication of the Emilia Apennines and its tourist offer to the outside world through the tool of participation in the main and selected trade fairs identified over the two-year period 2026-2027. As part of the activities, the updated reprint of the tourist maps of the Emilian Apennines is also envisaged, carried out in its first version within the previous project already concluded, as indispensable material to be distributed in the scheduled appointments.

These activities are aimed at promoting the territory of the Apennines of Parma and Piacenza on several fronts and in different ways, in order to stimulate an increasing interest in these areas that leads, on the one hand, to an improvement in the organization of tourist services and in the coordination of actions between the various valleys and, on the other, to an effective growth in presences in the area. This new agreement will make it possible to give continuity to some of the activities carried out together with the GAL del Ducato during the previous programming that have proven to be effective, resuming them, relaunching them and updating them to the current specificities.
