A territory open to various activities, never too strict and within everyone’s reach.

The Trebbia river, quiet and full of beautiful views, in the summer season attracts thousands of tourists looking for special and unique places

like the meanders between San Salvatore and Brugnello. Sports enthusiasts can descend it on foot or, especially in spring, through exciting kayak descents.

The surrounding mountain is reached in a simple way allowing you to get to the most characteristic peaks of the place such as Pietra Parcellara and Mount Armelio in no time, crossing small villages and ancient settlements often connected by easy paths

Hiking can also be traveled by bicycle or on horseback. In the upper Trebbia Valley, Val Boreca stands out, which stands out for being particularly “wild”, where the famous hiking route “Il Giro del Postino” develops. Numerous structures and associations in the area offer concrete support to their experience.

Val Trebbia is also rich in proposals for culture lovers. It starts from Prehistory with the Archaeological Park of Sant’Andrea a Travo. We move on to the Middle Ages with the village of Bobbio, built around the abbey, founded by the Irish monk Colombano in 614, which was one of the most important monastic and cultural centers in Europe, thanks to the prestigious scriptorium, containing more than seven hundred manuscripts. Today the abbey houses three museums: an archaeological one with important finds from the Roman and Lombard period, a civic one on local history and one of art of the ‘900 with works by internationally renowned authors such as Fontana and De Chirico.

Medieval are also the villages of Rivalta, gathered around the imposing castle and Brugnello, composed of small stone houses arranged around the church that stands out overlooking the meanders of the Trebbia.
