The Felino Salami Museum changes location and, after twenty years of presence at the castle, moves to the historic center of the town, in a building, located in Via Carducci, of great historical value, because it is the oldest in Felino.
A new and engaging set-up will be available to visitors, a more inclusive space, free of architectural barriers, accessible to all and with a porticoed space available for educational and tasting activities.
In the evocative rooms that preserve significant traces of the ancient functions, suitably restored, there will also be space for a modern multimedia touch.
What today appears as a large two-pitched building was originally a medieval courtyard, probably dating back to the thirteenth century, consisting of a tower house and a rustic with barn and stable. Adapted in the eighteenth century into a single body, as it appears today, it housed the pharmacy and some shops for decades.
A presentation event has been organized on Saturday 12 October at 10.30 am at the new headquarters, in via Carducci 11.
Speakers will include, among others, the president of the Consortium Umberto Boschi, the mayor of Felino Filippo CAsolari and the president of the Food Museums of Parma Mario Marini.
