An important piece for the enhancement of a typical product that attracts curious and gluttonous visitors to Val Taro.
The Museum explores the history of the porcini mushroom and the territory, with unusual and curious information. A real delight for fans, and is developed in 6 sections:
– the entrance to the Museum with some notes on the etymology of the Porcino
– the section dedicated to the Wood with patterns of the species of mushrooms, the varieties and habitats of the Porcini
– the collection of the Porcino, the hunter and his equipment, the rules, the Porcino in popular beliefs and in History
– Porcino processing, drying and processing companies
– Porcino on the table, recipes over time and in the typical gastronomy of the area
– the Mushroom in culture: literature, figurative arts, cinema, fairy tales, advertising, and more The tour ends at the Museum Shop, with the possibility of greedy purchases.
