Typical product of Vezzolacca is the chestnut, an autumn fruit that boasts a strong tradition demonstrated by the presence of centuries-old chestnut groves that extend over the mountains around the village, from the slopes to the peaks (900 – 950 m).
This product has obtained a regional recognition with the name of “Bionda di Vezzolacca“, for the sweet taste of its pasta. It is included in the list (at number 247) of traditional Italian agri-food products D.L. 173/98, art. 8 viewable on the website of the Department of Agriculture of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Excellent for cooking and for all food uses.
