Round/oval in shape and with compact pulp, the Busseto Potato (Municipal Denomination Alta Val Tidone) owes its name to the place of production, precisely Busseto, which allows a constant and slow growth of tubers, for the nature of its soils and for the climatic characteristics.

Ploughing is practiced exclusively in the period from March 21st to June 21st; The sowing, however, must be carried out in the period between 15 April and 30 June; finally, the harvest of the Potato (manual or mechanical) will take place from August 20th until November 30th.

Anti-sprouting treatments with chemical synthesis products are not allowed.
