BEDONIA TRUFFLE

The black truffle, a precious black pearl of Val Taro, is an underground fungus that lives in symbiosis with a tree or shrub with which it exchanges nutrients and from which it draws its aromas and perfumes.

Its aroma is intense but pleasant, similar to hazelnut, while the taste is reminiscent of turnip.

It is finely warty and black tending to brown, while the inner part is grayish with sporadic veins of white.

In autumn the black truffle fills the undergrowth of the Municipality of Bedonia.

At the end of October Bedonia pays homage to the Black Truffle by organizing two weekends dedicated entirely to this precious mushroom, a showcase that highlights the high gastronomy of the country.
