“Emilia-Romagna, if you bite, do not flee.” is the new video by Stefano Accorsi, testimonial of Emilia-Romagna that you can find online on his social channels, dedicated to regional cold cuts along the Via Emilia, from Piacenza to Rimini.
In the video, the actor participates in a quiz in which he must recognize from the images, in a few seconds, all the cold cuts produced in the Region, from Culatello di Zibello to Salama da sugo Ferrarese.
A time too short, declares Accorsi to the voiceover (Andrea Santonastaso) to “summarize an art that in Emilia Romagna has been going on for centuries”, because, as the saying goes, “Emilia Romagna, if you bite, do not flee!”.
The Emilian actor also jokes about the names, as when, quoting the Salame di Felino, he underlines to the speaker: “Excuse me, since I have a foreign friend who thought it was cat salami, I want to say instead that the name comes from Felino a town in the province of Parma”.
To confirm the difficulty of the test – given that in Emilia Romagna the same cut can have many variations and related typical products – there is also the moment when Accorsi, with some anxiety, makes a mistake several times, before recognizing the photo of the Gran Culattina Dissossata, attributing the image to Culatello di Zibello, then to Culatello Semplice, to Culatta and finally to Culaccia.
