Lavender producers from Piacenza: the association is born

The cultural association of lavender producers of the Piacenza Apennines has recently been formed.

In the workforce we find:
Stefano Brugnelli – President
Domenico Alfarone – vice-president

The directors are Antonio Nani, Alessandro Passeri, Corrado Piazzi, Mino Ballerini, Benvenuto Bocciarelli, Cristian Agostini.

The municipalities that are part of this production area are:
– Val Tidone: Alta Val Tidone, Pianello and Piozzano
Val Nure: Vigolzone, Pontedellolio, Bettola, Farini and Ferriere
Val D’arda: Vernasca, Gropparello, Lugagnano, Morfasso
Val Trebbia: Bobbio, Coli, Gazzola, Ottone, Travo, Rivergaro, Zerba, Cerignale, Cortebrugnatella.

The Italian Training Centre for Culture, Research and Production of Lavender was born with a clear objective:
create a reference point for training, study, research as well as for the collection and exchange of information and experience.
A reality able to provide at national level all the scientific, cultural and experiential support necessary for the development of the activities of cultivation, dissemination and promotion of Lavender.

The activities of the Center will focus on promoting Lavender as an aromatic plant;
coordinate and carry out research through the awarding of scholarships, prizes and the organization of seminars and conferences, manage and promote technical-professional education courses, qualification and improvement, coordinate cultural activities with local, regional, state, European, public and private authorities.
