Here is the calendar of events for Sunday, October 16

At 3 pm at the Tomato Museum (Corte di Giarola – Collecchio) “Rotate the Imprint!” (by Esperto SB)

Games and explorations at the Tomato Museum, including clues hidden in the Museum, quizzes, objects to find and associate, dishes to elaborate and measurements complete with a planisphere, ruler and pencil, to understand how to live more sustainably for the Planet. Everyone will build a special watch to take home. Duration of about an hour and a half, for children aged 7 to 12 years accompanied by parents. Participation is free, but reservations are required at 347.4018157.

At 4.30 pm at the Tomato Museum (Corte di Giarola – Collecchio) “Memorie di un tubetto di conserva”.

The incredible story of tomato preserves between technology, marketing and… giant tubes! The ancient Tonazzi tube tube machine of 1951 restored and the Topolino used for promotional tours in the fifties will be presented.

At 3 pm at the Wine Museum (Sala Baganza-Rocca Sanvitale) Organic grape hunt (curated by Pro Loco Sala Baganza)

Treasure hunt inside the cellars and icebox of the Rocca Sanvitale in Sala Baganza. The boys, divided into teams and helped by their parents, will have to look for berries with which to compose bunches of grapes of different colors. They will be able to learn many curiosities related to grapes and wine production. If they manage to complete the entire route, they will be rewarded with a rich treasure! Recommended for children aged 6 to 11 years. Participation is free, but reservations are required.

At 4.30 pm, at the Wine Museum (Sala Baganza-Rocca Sanvitale) there will be a meeting with Alberto Carretti of Podere Pradarolo in Varano Melegari on the cultivation of organic grapes and the production of natural wine.

At 3 pm at the Parmigiano Reggiano Museum (Soragna), “It’s time to plant it!” (edited by ArcheoVEA)

Laboratory to create a small seedbed, starting from recycled containers and rare and unobtainable seeds. Even to obtain our traditional products, such as Parmigiano Reggiano, we must start from the earth, sowing vegetables that will serve to feed the animals. But there are plants that have almost disappeared… The goal is to get to know them, plant them and grow them at home. Duration of about an hour and a half, suitable for children between 5 and 10 years accompanied by parents. At 4.30 pm at the Museum of Parmigiano Reggiano (Soragna) there will be a meeting, in collaboration with OTAER, with Francesco Fenga, food technologist, on the techniques of production of milk and Parmigiano Reggiano used to guarantee the excellence of the “King of cheeses”.

In Parma, at 10.30 am and 4.30 pm, at the Complesso di San Paolo (vicolo delle Asse 5), in collaboration with the Googol Association, the workshop “Una tavola grande come il mondo… even more!”

A game with a large world map and two big dice, children will have the opportunity to learn about many countries and many typical foods from which they will start to make small scientific explorations.

It will be an opportunity to discover what is eaten in space, climbing aboard a spacecraft departing from our planet, perhaps in search of new food resources. Duration of about an hour and a half, recommended for children aged 6 to 12 years. Participation is free, but reservations are required.
