An easy trek among castles, shells and talking walls
From the ford of Olmeto you cross the Chero stream and climb towards the castle and the vineyards of the valley. You can get there by comfortable cart track first and then a stretch of asphalt little frequented, up to the hamlet Bersani, known as ‘The country of Fables’ thanks to the splendid murals depicted on the external walls of the houses.
Return via a well-marked path. Stages with explanations of the castle of Olmeto, curiosities about the Val Chero, with the castles of Magnano, Travazzano and the hermitage of S. Espedito, and the Val Vezzeno with the castle of Gropparello.

Meeting point: Sunday 11 December at 9.00 am c / o Parking of the ford of Olmeto (loc. Olmeto di Carpaneto Piacentino PC). End of excursion at 13.00
Required equipment: Hiking shoes or shoes with carved soles, k-way, water, snacks, hat, sunglasses.
