The Vernasca Silver Flag is a dynamic conservation and restoration competition for racing cars from the most important collections throughout Europe. Every year more than 200 cars parade at controlled speed on the panoramic road that leads from Castell’Arquato to Vernasca passing through Lugagnano, exceptionally closed to normal traffic throughout the weekend: 8.5 km of curved road with a climb of almost 300 meters in altitude.
Only racing cars with documented historical past, built no later than 1972, can participate. The best preserved or best restored cars are awarded.
The most curious can follow the race from the starting point, located on the avenue at the foot of the historic village of Castell’Arquato, or positioning themselves in advance along the hairpin bends of the road to Vernasca.
The event is organized by CPAE – Club Piacentino di Auto d’Epoca.
