It resumes the programming of ” The Lantern of Diogenes” in its V Edition. A cycle of cultural meetings ranging from literature, history, art history but also current issues that always have a high interest.
To organize them, with the collaboration of the Department of Culture and the Municipal Commission for Culture and School. Thomas Predieri is the referent and artistic director of the project. “For three years – he explains – we have been offering a wide and quality program to our listeners, concerning various subjects, but this year we have a fundamental novelty: all the conferences follow a basic theme entitled “Rebels, revolts and revolutions”.
All meetings will take place on Saturday afternoon at the Teatro Bismantova, starting at 4.30 pm. The first appointment will be the
February 19 on the theme ” The Este in the Reggio Apennines: change everything to change nothing?” with Rachele Grassi, archaeologist and popularizer.
It will continue on March 5 with the meeting “Squadrismo e violenze fasciste in Emilia Romagna dal ’21 al ’25. Revolts and defeats” with the participation of Istoreco;
March 12 “Restless and revolutionary: the English romantic poets between private pains and social upheavals” with Ornella Gigli, professor of English Language and Literature;
March 26 “Body violated | consecrated body. Two artists in comparison: Artemisia Gentileschi and Marina Abramovic” with Angela Viola, artist and professor of Drawing and Art History;
April 9 “Diary of the last years in the South Seas. The literary revolution of Stevenson ” with Andrea Casoli, director of “Corsiero Editore”;
April 30, 2022 “Change… route. Sustainability as a development model to prove to be Sapiens” with Fabrizio Frignani, teacher and popularizer;
on May 14 “Le donne di casa Cervi” with Laura Artioli, anthropologist and historian, and Anna Bigi, witness, with the extraordinary collaboration of the Alcide Cervi Institute;
May 21 “Art is like love… Two collectors compared: Peggy Guggenheim and Margherita Sarfatti” with Angela Viola, artist and professor of Drawing and Art History;
