The celebrations of the 72nd Provincial Day of Thanksgiving are approaching and Coldiretti Piacenza gives an appointment in Bettola on Sunday 13 November 2022 for a day of celebration, but also of reflection and sharing not only with the farms that produce, but also with all the citizens. Around food there is a world, who prepares it, who trades it, who buys it and who consumes it. This year the message of the Bishops’ Commission for the Social Pastoral Care of Work invites us to reflect on the great role of agriculture, capable of promoting the values of dignity, creativity, cooperation and fraternity.
The events will take place in Piazza Cristoforo Colombo where the agricultural vehicles destined for the blessing will be exhibited. The Holy Mass, scheduled for 10.30 am, will take place in the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Oak, presided over by the Bishop of the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio, Monsignor Adriano Cevolotto. The Ecclesiastical Councillor Don Giuseppe Sbuttoni and the parish priest Don Angelo Sesenna will concelebrate. It will follow, at the end, an agri-aperitif with typical products and the excellence of the territory. It will be possible to sign the global petition against synthetic food, to raise awareness on a crucial issue for the future of our agribusiness.
