The ever-thrilling sunset from the mountain, and the narration of its incredible geological history recently rewritten
The incredible geological history of the mountain that we will climb tonight, recently rewritten by geologists, places its rocks among the oldest on the European continent, with an enormously distant origin in time, in the order of billions of years.
We will talk about it tonight (also with the contribution of Prof. Alessandra Montanini of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Life and Environmental Sustainability of the University of Parma, who tonight will walk with us, as sometimes happens) in the breaks of the excursion that will lead us to the top overlooking Fornovo, the lower Val Taro and the small Val Sporzana between rocky garden landscapes, Bonsai trees and miraculous blooms “in the desert” ophiolitic. And from the top we can enjoy the lights of the sunset eating a packed lunch in a cool restorative breeze, before descending back to the cars.
