An event dedicated to music for the Cinema. “Fellini and Friends” is the title of the concert that will propose the Trio of Umbria Ensemble, one of the most important Italian chamber ensembles, composed for the occasion by Luca Ranieri (viola), Cecilia Berioli (cello) and Andrea Trovato (piano): the appointment, really high-level, is for Sunday 26 February at 6 pmper Bismantova Theatre of Castelnovo ne’ Monti.
The members of UmbriaEnsemble are soloists and chamber musicians who can boast considerable experience and recognition in both classical and contemporary linguistic fields: an ensemble of high artistic quality and constant musical research, defined by critics as the “spearhead” of the current Italian chamber music production, modular and agile in the staff (from the Trio to the Chamber Orchestra) that makes the Ensemble always functional and competitive. The approach of UmbriaEnsemble is characterized by vital dynamism open to comparison and synergy with other Arts.
The program of February 26 will be dedicated to the soundtracks of Nino Rota for Fellini (La strada – La dolce vita), then Morricone and Piazzolla (Marco Polo and Enrico IV) and a Movie Suite dedicated to the soundtracks of Romeo and Juliet, Amarcord, The Godfather, Otto e mezzo, C’era una volta il West, Nuovo cinema Paradiso.
During the performances, on the big screen of the Bismantova, the salient images of the films from which the soundtracks are taken will be projected. A concert to listen to and see. Great films, great music and great performers; A special occasion, really not to be missed.
