The Festival will be held in village of Canossa, Sunday 29 2023 from 9 am to 5 pm, and will be animated by many cultural initiatives, music and excursions (also with augmented reality) that will evoke the famous episode dating back to January 1077, when Henry IV had to submit to the will of Matilda and Gregory VII.
The very articulated program sees the beginning of the Festival with the excursion among the gullies organized by the members of the association ‘Passi e Nuvole’ that starting at 9.00 am will guide the participants to discover the history of Matilda.
At 11.00 am, at the headquarters of the tourist center “Andare a Canossa”, there will be the presentation of “The challenge of Henry IV in Canossa – Giuliano Grasselli Collection”, by the association ‘Friends of Matilde di Canossa and the Castle of Bianello’.
The day dedicated to ‘Forgiveness’ continues at 2.30 pm, the heart of the initiative, with the possibility of booking the virtual tour ‘
