What are ebooks? How do I listen to an audiobook? How can I read newspapers for free?
This and other questions will finally be answered for those who will participate in the meeting “Ebook da taschino” organized in the Manara Library on October 14th at 4.30 pm.
The meeting, organized by the Municipal Administration with the contribution of the Cariparma Foundation within the project “Un Borgo di Storie”, will be the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of digital reading and discover the many free resources made available in the EMILIB platform for all library users.
To accompany the public in this meeting on digital reading there will be Valentina Tosi, librarian of the Mantuan Library Network and communication expert. How does the digital library work? What content is available? But above all, how can they be best used? He will be able to answer these and many other questions during the meeting. If you want to learn how to download an eBook, browse the online newsstand and understand how to listen to an audiobook you can not miss. Digital reading is for everyone!
“Digital innovation – said the councilor for culture Martina Fortunati – has revolutionized much of our cultural consumption, from listening to music to watching films. Book publishing has not escaped this revolution and audiobooks and new e-readers are increasingly widespread and widen the places and moments dedicated to reading. This is why we felt it was important to dedicate a moment of the Un Borgo di storie project to this theme.”
The meeting is open to all and free, subject to availability.
It will be possible to bring your ereader or tablet to ask for information at the end.
