Theatre and Music: twelve events in twelve different places for the third edition of the Festival dei Mulini Storici. Organized by ATER Fondazione with the Emilia-Romagna Region and AIAMS – Associazione Italiana Amici Mulini Storici, the event takes place from 17 July to 11 September 2022 in some historic mills located between the provinces of Bologna, Forlì-Cesena, Modena, Ravenna, Rimini, Parma, Piacenza and in the Republic of San Marino.
The network of historical mills involved is expanding: this year’s edition sees the participation for the first time of the Chiastrone Mill of Langhirano (in the province of Parma) and the Sapignoli Mill of Poggio Torriana (in the province of Rimini).
In order to combine the historical heritage of rural realities, such as the ancient mills, with music and theater of great quality, the project turns out to be an extraordinary example of widespread culture in the area, also allowing the rediscovery of natural areas of great historical and cultural significance. The artistic proposal of the Festival, in line with the spirit with which the event was born, is designed to bring to light the popular show in a more contemporary key, hence the subtitle “Tradition in motion”. Among the protagonists: Ambrogio Sparagna, Alfio Antico, the ensemble Enerbia, Bandabastard, I Sacchi di Sabbia, Danilo Rossi.
