Sunday, June 4 from 9 am in Piazza Garibaldi in Borgonovo Val di Tidone, the market festival now in its 4th edition returns. The event, organized by “Borgonovo city of Gastronomy ChefToChef”, will bring in the shadow of the municipal fortress the excellence of food and wine of the territory.
The culture of food, the promotion of local specialties and food education are the themes that will be developed during the day of June 4 through numerous initiatives and events.
Mercato del Buono – 9.00 am – Municipal fortress
Exhibition of numerous gastronomic excellences from Piacenza and Emilia.
Tree of Wishes – 11.00 am
Space dedicated to families with the installation of the Tree of desires, emotional workshop for young and old, curated by Antonia Lusenti.
A picture for the heart – 4.00 pm
Inauguration of the Art Exhibition Personal Collection of Alessio Sterbizzi.
Guided tours – from 4.30 pm
It will be possible to visit the interior of the municipal fortress accompanied by the guides of “Atlante guides”.
Health comes with eating… But what are you eating? – 5.30 pm
Conference on the theme of food in the courtyard of the Rocca, accompanied by prominent speakers such as the university professor Ettore Capri, Angelo Capitelli of the award-winning ham factory Capitelli di Borgonovo, Ludovica and Maria Antonia Lusenti, Luca Farina and the dietitian Monica Maj. The meeting will be moderated by journalist Laura Maragliano, director of “Sale & Pepe”.
Salami bread – 6.30 pm
Competition that will see the bakers of the territory challenge each other to win the title.
Food stands – 7.00 pm – Former monastery of Borgonovo
Preparation of food stands. Guests of the evening chefs Matteo Salbaroli and Mattia Borroni from Ravenna, who with their piadina will bring the example of how the desire to restart a territory also passes from its cultural and gastronomic identity.
For the entire duration of the event will be the background music of Radio 51 Melody.
