Admire eagles, hawks, owls and barn owls up close and follow their flight tests, in a great falconry show. On Easter Sunday, at the Castle of Tabiano, an expert Master Falconer will guide guests to discover the secrets of falconry, an ancient and noble art, practiced by Kings and Emperors and still today in some parts of the globe. The falconry shows will be at 11.00 and 17.00 and before and after it is possible to take part in the guided tours of the Castle.
“We decided to organize this show to retrace a very important tradition of the Castle – explains Giacomo Corazza Martini, owner of the castle and author of various volumes on the history of Tabiano -. Indeed, falconry was the favorite activity of the Emperor Frederick II of Swabia, allied with the Marquis Uberto Pallavicino the Great, lord of Tabiano in the XIII century”.
The falconry shows will also take place on Sunday 28 May, Sunday 18 June, Sunday 16 July and Tuesday 15 August 2023.
On Easter day the guided tours will start at 10.00 – 11.00 – 12.00 – 15.00 – 16.00 – 17.00 and 18.00 for about an hour with a path that crosses the rooms decorated with frescoes, mirrors, coats of arms, the large vaulted cellars, the park with secular plants, the panoramic terraces, the grand staircase and the ancient library.
Adults only show: €14.00
Children from 5 to 12 years only show: €8.00
Adults guided tour + falconry: €18.00
Children from 5 to 12 years guided tour + falconry: €10.00
