Nine cherry trees in memory of the nine Carpineta victims due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The planting will take place on Monday 22 November at the Garden of ancient fruits, on the road to Riana, in the presence of some classes of the overall Institute of Carpineti and Casina.
The event was organized by the Municipality of Carpineti with the contribution of Iren and is part of the environmental policies of the administration. The outdoor educational activity, “We put down roots not to forget”, will be held at 10 am, with the meeting of the students in front of the secondary school of the capital. Then we will proceed all together to the Garden, where the planting of the nine cherry trees and the laying of the commemorative plaque will take place.

The agronomic phases of planting will be supported by the explanations of experts who will illustrate the characteristics of the varieties of plants planted.

The Secondary students who will participate in the day, will be asked to write on a cardboard / strips of colored paper some reflections regarding the Coronavirus period.

Primary children will be asked to express their feelings with individual creativity (drawings, collages, and more).

What has been achieved will be kept by the Municipality to create a symbolic tree to be placed at the “Don Francesco Milani” Library for the Christmas holiday period.
