Sunday, May 7 at Ponte dell’Olio
the village of Ponte dell’Olio returns to dress up to celebrate its product of excellence: the Pancetta Piacentina D.o.p., one of the three D.O.P. cured meats, which the province of Piacenza boasts among its agri-food riches, together with coppa and salami from Piacenza.
From 9 am until 7 pm, numerous food stands will be distributed throughout the country to animate a big party and the shops will be open all day. This year the Pancetta Fair, the heart of the event, will move along Via Veneto, to take on a more traditional and intimate character, while upstream of the village there will be the Spring Fair.
There will be two playful-creative proposals for children: at 10 am, “IN THE KITCHEN WITH MASTERKIDS”, where children can improvise great chefs and cook delicious sweets and pasta and at 3.00 pm the “Smile Hunt”, a maxi treasure hunt through the streets of the village for kindergarten and primary school children starting from kindergarten and arriving at the Masterkids Association stand with prizes for everyone and free registration. Following a workshop for children “IN THE KITCHEN WITH MASTERKIDS”
At 12 noon the catering area in Piazza Alpini will open with street fooders, also all the bars and restaurants of the township will offer themed menus in which the bacon will be the protagonist.
In the afternoon with a second musical appointment with the Pontolliese Band Corps, at 3 pm and, at 5 pm, it will continue with the choral review “Ponte t’incanta” organized by the Montenero Choir of Ponte dell’Olio directed by Mario Azzali, who will perform together with the Gerberto Choir of Bobbio directed by Edo Mazzoni and the Valle del Lambro Choir of Besana In Brianza directed by Marco Villa at the suggestive exhibition space at the ex- Fornaci.
At 3:30 pm, with meeting in front of the church of San Rocco, the cultural itinerary will start to discover the historic village “History and stories of agri-food businesses in Ponte dell’Olio”.
The initiative is organized by the Cooltour cooperative and the Municipality of Ponte dell’Olio, in collaboration with the ValNure community cooperative and with various associations and local realities: Corpo Bandistico Pontolliese, the Masterkids Italia Association, the Montenero Choir, the Vega group.
