Four castles in the Piacenza area, which belong to the Castles of the Duchy Association, are partners in a project dedicated to young people:

Young Castles

from 14 to 19 October 2025 at the Castle of Agazzano, Castle of San Pietro in Cerro, Castle of Gropparello and Castell’Arquato

A series of events and experiences for young people on the themes of photography, trekking, yoga and typical cuisine, inside four castles in the province of Piacenza.

Look into the room

14 September 2025, from 10.30 a.m.-5.45 p.m. at Castello di Agazzano, Via del Castello 4, Agazzano

An emotional photography workshop curated by the Cesura collective to learn how to tell the places and inhabitants of the valleys with a participatory gaze. After a day of exercises and sharing, participants will be guided on a visit to the Castle of Agazzano, to discover its history and secrets.
Equipment required: camera or mobile phone.

Senses at rest

Sunday 21 September, 2.00-6.15 pm at the Castle of San Pietro in Cerro, Via Roma, 19, San Pietro in Cerro

A day to find harmony and well-being immersed in the evocative spaces of the Castle of San Pietro in Cerro. Yoga teacher and pedagogist Giulia Corvi and herbalist Alessandro Stringhini will guide participants in a unique experience that combines yoga and aromatherapy: a journey to awaken the senses and reconnect with oneself, away from the frenetic pace of the city. Afterwards, a guided tour of the rooms of the castle to discover its history and secrets.
Clothing: comfortable and sporty. Equipment required: yoga mat.

Legs on the shoulder

Sunday 5 October, 10.30 a.m.-6.30 p.m. at Gropparello Castle, Via Roma 84, Gropparello
With GRIP – Hike Club, a trek accessible to all that will allow you to reconnect with the extra-urban landscape. The morning will end with a refreshment of local products. In the afternoon there will be a visit to the castle, closing the experience in the name of tradition.

Hands in the dough

Sunday 19 October, 3.30 p.m.-6.10 p.m. in Via Dante Alighieri 1B, Castell’Arquato
In the charming medieval village, a workshop dedicated to the production of fresh pasta, where we will discover the bata, a young reinterpretation of the Piacenza tortello. The workshop is curated by Alla Mano – Cucina e bottega conviviale and will last two hours. At the end, the participants will take home the tortelli made. The day will end with a visit to the Rocca Viscontea and the medieval village of Castell’Arquato.
Equipment required: apron.

On Castelli Young’s Instagram profile you can find the link with Google forms to book. Four-legged friends are not allowed in the initiative and participation is limited, due to logistics, to people with reduced mobility.
