Sunday 23 August 2026, punctual meeting for departure: 09.00 am at the Episcopal Seminary of Bedonia, or at 09.45 am at the Prato Piccolo car park.
A day dedicated to the care of body and soul, through two oriental practices, shinrin-yoku and yoga, immersed in nature in a certified Forest Bathing trail, in the Monte Nero area, at 1600 meters.
The Italian translation of the Japanese term Shinrin-Yoku, in turn translated into English as Forest Bathing, is “forest diving”, or “forest bathing”. It is an ancient Japanese practice that involves “letting go” in nature, entering into a relationship with the forest and benefiting from it. Shinrin Yoku is not an excursion (in fact the walk lasts all morning and early afternoon, but is only 4 km), but simply consists of getting in touch with nature and connecting to it through the five senses, creating “fascination”.
In this PEFC-certified forest, which guarantees a managed, healthy and complex ecosystem, we are immediately enveloped by a myriad of life forms, microbes, pollen, spores, but above all by monoterpenes naturally emitted into the air by trees; These volatile products, of which the beech forest is particularly rich, rest on our skin, enter the mouth, nose, ears, and reach our internal organs by interacting with them.
In shinrin-yoku, the alternation of “attractors” (streams, meadows, forests, landscapes, sounds, scents, etc.) creates an infinite number of sensory stimuli that stimulate our five senses, arousing positive reactions within the nervous, immune, metabolic and cardiovascular systems.
To further enrich this immersion, the day will be accompanied by two short yoga practices with Alice Bolognesi, Hatha yoga teacher. Yoga is not just movement, but a powerful tool for reconnection: through awareness of breathing, attentive presence to the body and short moments of guided meditation, we will learn to listen to the rhythm of the forest as if it were our own.
These practice spaces will be precious opportunities to stop, ground and open all the senses, allowing us to welcome the benefits of Forest Bathing with a calmer mind and a more receptive heart.
Cost of the activity, including two conductors, forest bathing and yoga, € 30.
Packed lunch in Prato Grande, in an immense summit pasture.
