Saturday 8 November 2025 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm nature guided tour. Between October and November, the Apennine woods are colored with a polychrome palette, starting from the top of the mountains with the red of the beech trees and continuing gradually at lower and lower altitudes, through the orange of the chestnut trees, the brick of the oaks up to the lemon yellow of the black poplars in the valley floor. In between, a thousand colors reveal the usually hidden biodiversity of dozens and dozens of trees and shrubs, with the dark purple of the bloodwoods, the vermilion of the curly maples, the cadmium of the wild lime trees, the pink of the opals, the Havana of the maquis medlars… Route without particular difficulties, also accessible to children (from 6 years old) requires hiking boots or rubber boots (muddy terrain). Let’s find out how to help scientific research by reporting our observations through the iNaturalist app. Clothing appropriate to the weather conditions is required; binoculars and the iNaturalist app already downloaded on your smartphone are recommended. Free activity organized by WWF Parma and Parks of the Duchy at the church of Porcigatone (Borgotaro). Information info.riservaghirardi@parchiemiliaoccidentale.it; reservations required via SMS or Whatsapp at 3497736093 by 6 p.m. the day before.
