A free afternoon for families in the company of a beekeeper
We will approach it step by step, first through an animated reading full of emotion and then, together with the beekeeper Luca, we will closely observe his educational hive and the equipment he uses to manage the hives of his farm “Le Api di San Rocco”.
But how does a hive work? How many secrets are hidden inside the hive? How are bees organized? What do they do? Where do they go during the day? Why are they important for nature and for our diet? What do they produce and why?
We’ll then move on to observe their products, taste the different types of honey and understand their characteristics and colors.
We will conclude this “flutter of wings” by creating a special memory of this day to take home and maybe right on the table!
The initiative will be held on Sunday 24 May 2026 from 16.00 to 18.00 at Agrilab Giarola.
Free activity dedicated to families. Suitable for children aged 5 to 10.
