The triumph of water in the Boschi di Carrega Park
Sunday 8 February 2026
We will cross the Capannella Wood, where turkey oaks and chestnut trees predominate, to discover bodies of water with evocative names (the Lake of Switzerland, the Lake of the Shuttle to name a few), waterfalls, the baths of Amalia, sfangi and the beautiful beech forest of Amalia. Mixed route: dirt, asphalt, gravel. If the season allows, we will also be able to admire some nemoral blooms.
From the parking lot in Via del Conventino c/o Cedacri in Collecchio (PR) we will walk on a paved road that enters a beautiful clearing, slowly we will climb into the woods and through a ring route we will see some lakes of the Carrega Woods, immersed in the greenery of this ancient hunting reserve that belonged to the noble families of the area.
