Sunday, January 22 with Camminaparchi
An easy route, which touches different historical and naturalistic aspects of Val Chero.
Starting from the imposing shell wall of the station of the Piacenziano Regional Park of Badagnano, where we will admire remarkable Pliocene fossil outcrops, the route continues on a paved road with little traffic and slightly uphill towards Osteria di Montezago, with a splendid view of the Val Chero.
From here continue on a gravel road to a panoramic point that will allow you to have a beautiful overview of the Val Chiavenna and, albeit in the distance, of two other stations of the Piacenziano Regional Park: Rio Stramonte and Monte Giogo. Continuing on a cart track you then enter a wood, looking for a stone object of a heartfelt and ancient local popular tradition, according to which Jesus would have left imprints of hands and knees on its surface. The last stop of the route is the Hermitage, built at the beginning of the twentieth century, dedicated to San Biagio, a place of peace and tranquility where the hermit Father Devis lives today. You return to the starting point through a well-kept cart track.
