An excursion to discover the monumental trees of the Park

Sunday 29 March 2026In the heart of the first Park established in Emilia-Romagna, I will take you on an easy excursion suitable for the whole family, to discover the monumental trees.

We will meet a majestic ash tree, a historic plane tree, an ancient cedar near the suggestive Casino dei Boschi and many other green monuments, keepers of stories and secrets of the area.

How tall will they be? How many years have they been watching over these places?

Total difference in height: 50 meters

Degree of difficulty: hiking

Meeting point: Sunday 29 March 2026 at 2.30 p.m. at the Via Case Nuove car park (behind the I Pifferi restaurant), in the municipality of Sala Baganza (PR). End of the excursion: 6.00 pm.

Required equipment: boots with sculpted soles, equipped backpack, personal water supply, insect repellent.
