Sunday 7 September from 8.45 am, from the Castle of Felino to the Castle of Torrechiara through ancient streets and rolling hills: this is the program that the environmental hiking guide Paola Casali proposes for Sunday 7 September as part of the collateral events of the Ham Festival with the patronage of the Municipality of Felino, which has now become a traditional event.
The walk will begin with the meeting of the participants in front of the parish church of Felino for a guided tour of the Salami Museum. At 11.00 a.m. a small tasting will be offered at the “Trattoria Leoni” in Barbiano, before continuing to the Castle of Torrechiara, with arrival time scheduled at 3.30 p.m.
The walking route, about 3 and a half hours, with a difference in altitude of 400 meters, winds along continuous ups and downs using ancient cart tracks and now forgotten paths, touching remarkable panoramic points: over the city of Parma, the Apennine peaks, Mount Cimone, Mount Cusna, Mount Sporno and the Alps.
The excursion requires participants to be in good health and with a minimum of training. Respect for the flora and fauna of the environment is required.
For the return from Torrechiara to Felino, the guide provides a car.
