Back to Fidenza from 23 to 28 May “Testo… Pretext. Every book is a journey”, the multidisciplinary Festival that brings art, culture and entertainment to the squares and streets of the city. The protagonists will be schools, associations, bookstores, the library and the numerous guests who will alternate in the many events included in the rich program. Readings aloud, poetry symposium, piano concerts, “lunar” walks and many other virtuous practices will contribute to enhancing the sense of community and participation.

The Festival will be divided into four thematic areas:

1. Italo Calvino and the challenge to the labyrinth: on the occasion of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Italo Calvino, Fidenza will also pay tribute to the great writer. Many scheduled events will have as their common thread the rediscovery of the vast literary production of Italo Calvino, writer and intellectual of great political, civil and cultural commitment, one of the most important storytellers of the late twentieth century.

2. Fidenza tells Fidenza: presentation of books that tell local stories and poems in dialect.

3. Literature around: widespread reading through the streets and squares of the city to bring all citizens closer.

4. Science and literature: exhibition of books and cooking magazines and conversations with experts in gastronomic art.
