Evening excursion on the paths of the Reserve
In the most beautiful hour, that of sunset, we will walk through the paths of Monte Prinzera. Along the bottom of the Taro valley appears an imposing bump of reddish rock, bare and barren: it is Mount Prinzera, a relief of ophiolite, volcanic rock that has a “lunar” appearance and that favors the presence of unique habitats for the richness and specificity of spontaneous flora. The Reserve is also located along the route of the Via Francigena, an ancient route of medieval pilgrimage, of which the Churches of Fornovo and Bardone are suggestive testimonies.
Technical notes:Starting from Strada Rocchetta (455 meters above sea level) we will follow the paths that cross the reserve to reach Monte Prinzera (736 meters above sea level) at the magical hour of sunset.
