The calendar of summer events kicks off in Sala Baganza, which from 27 June to 9 August will transform the inner courtyard of the Rocca Sanvitale into a stage dedicated to music, theater, scientific dissemination and contemporary circus.
The first appointment will be Saturday 27 June with the dialect comedy of the company “I Fis’cén dl’Uisp”, born in 1995 from the idea of some referees of the UISP championship and today loved for its hilarious skits. Free admission by donation.
The next day, Sunday 28 June, everyone at work with “La Traviata”, accompanied by the wind orchestra of the Felino Instrumental Band Group and the Armonie dei Colli and Cantafabula choirs, conducted by maestro Stefano Mora. The voices of soprano Tania Bussi, tenor Pietro Brunetto and baritone Maurizio Leoni will alternate on stage. At the piano Matteo Zucchi, with the narrative voice of Marco Zanelli. Tuesday 30 June will be dedicated to musical research with “Futurismi sonori”, the concert of the Chironomic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Roberto Bonati. An experimental and improvised ensemble that offers a journey into collective creation. Free admission.
On Thursday 2 July , the first summer event of the A Tu per Tu festival entitled “Vivaldi: the Madness of the Red Priest”, a virtuosic tribute to the Venetian composer of the Vivaldi Quartet, formed by Stefano Maffizzoni (flute), Riccardo Malfatto (violin), Ludovico Armellini (cello) and Lorella Ruffin (harpsichord). Free admission.
On Tuesday 14 July , lively music with “Hollywood Swing”, one of the appointments of the prestigious Toscanini Festival 2026, with the young talents of the Toscanini Academy Big Band conducted by Beppe Di Benedetto. The musicians of La Toscanini will then return on Thursday 23 July with the concert of the Philharmonic String Quartet who will perform music by Verdi. (Single seat 10 euros).
Also on Tuesday, July 28, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the Salese summer: the popular science show “The equation of infinity – Traveling between space, time, and poetry” with physicist Michele Vallisneri, for twenty years a researcher at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, and actor Sandro Carotti, trained at Vittorio Gassman’s Bottega Teatrale and co-founder of the Zauberteatro in Florence. Free admission.
The month of August will open on Wednesday 5 with the show of the Ermo Colle poetic theatrical Palio. Veronika Aguglia will arrive in Sala Baganza with “At the same time. Solo di danza e parola”, a production by the company Il Tempo Favorable of Rimini, built on the text Clytemnestra by Antonella Di Salvo and other authors, with sound editing and lights by Alexandre Bologna. Free admission by donation.
On Thursday 6 August , the music of A Tu per Tu will return with “Di tanti palpiti”, a journey through passions and sighs interpreted by soprano Paola Cigna, mezzo-soprano Daniela Pini, flutist Fulvio Fiorio and harpist Davide Burani. Admission is free of charge.
The Salese summer festival will end on Sunday 9 August with the contemporary circus of Everyone is crazy in Emilia. The company Nando and Malia will stage “Sonata for pipes”, a show that seeks musicality in recycled objects and circus tools. Full ticket 10 euros, reduced 5 euros up to 12 years.
All shows will start at 9 pm, with the exception of the “Hollywood Swing” concert on July 2, which will take place at 9:30 pm and the contemporary circus show on August 9, which will be at 7 pm.
