The heart of the festival will be on Sunday 7 December, with “Dolce Rocca“, the exhibition-market of Christmas sweets and wines organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the Municipality of Sala Baganza, the Strada del Prosciutto e dei Vini di Parma, ASCOM and AIS Parma and the patronage of the Emilia Chamber of Commerce. Piazza Gramsci will be transformed into an outdoor table with anolini, the longest cotechino in the province and many proposals for all ages. At 5.30 p.m. the lighting of the tree, accompanied by the songs of the young pupils of the Athos Maestri elementary school, which will close the day. From 1 p.m. the little ones will be able to have fun with “The games of the past”, organized by the Alpine Group and Civil Protection of Sala Baganza.
Other events
The Little Winter Festival will continue with a rich calendar for all ages. Among the appointments to be noted.
On Monday 8 December at 3.30 pm, children aged 6 to 12 will be the protagonists at the Wine Museum with a Christmas treasure hunt entitled “Who is hiding at the Museum?” (Reservation required), while on Wednesday 10 December, in Rocca Sanvitale at 5 pm, the exhibition of nativity scenes in the Rocca will be inaugurated, with the original paper and cardboard creations signed by Gianni Gallo and Adriano Furlotti.

On Sunday, December 14 at 6 p.m., the Oratory of the Assumption will be the stage for the poetic and musical suggestions of “Romancero Gitano – Homage to García Lorca”, an appointment as part of the concert series “A Tu per Tu”.
On Tuesday 16 December, however, space for reflection and dialogue, with the presentation in the Rocca, at 9 pm, of the book “Il Gesù di Pasolini” by Gabriele Balestrazzi.
On Saturday 20 December at 6 pm, the Sala delle Capriate della Rocca will host “Symptoms of imaginary realities”, the reading-tribute to Stefano Benni for an ironic and poetic journey into the “first aid of the soul” by the Teatromusica Company, while on Sunday 21 at 4 pm in the Oratory of the Assumption the puppets of the Teatro Medico Ipnotico will be the protagonists with the show “Fagiolino Casaro per un giorno” (Reservations)
On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 23, at 6 p.m. in Piazza Gramsci, the traditional “Torchlight Procession for Peace” will start, which will end with the choir the concert of the gospel choir “Cake & Pipe”.
After Christmas, the Piccolo festival will welcome 2026 by candlelight on Thursday, January 1 at 5 p.m., with the New Year’s Concert “Candle live” for piano and violin at the Oratorio dell’Assunta.
On Tuesday 6 January, it will be the turn of another historic event that concludes the Salese Christmas holidays: the “Walk of the Epiphany – Memorial Mario Dieci” led by the volunteers of the Salese Hiking Group (GES).
During the festival, the Municipal Library will dedicate two special Thursdays to children: December 11, at 4 p.m., with the creative workshop “Christmas Quilling” and December 18, also at 4 p.m., with the “Readings in front of the fire”, curated by Nicoletta and Costanza.
