From 20 July to 14 August 2026, the Municipality of Podenzano organizes the exhibition “Postcards of the past”, an exhibition with free admission set up at the “Sadako Sasaki” Municipal Library, inside the Palazzo della Cultura in Piazza Ghisoni.
The exhibition will be open during the library’s opening hours.
The initiative offers a short journey dedicated to memory and history through the exhibition of panels and showcases containing vintage postcards, both traveled and untraveled, belonging to different historical periods and dedicated to the most diverse topics. The postcards represent a precious testimony of the evolution of the territory, traditions, architecture and daily life, offering visitors an opportunity for historical and cultural in-depth study.
The exhibition is made possible thanks to the collaboration of Mr. Salvatore Battini, who has granted a free selection of his private collection for the occasion, contributing significantly to the realization of the initiative.
The exhibition is part of the activities to enhance the history and local identity promoted by the municipal administration, with the aim of offering citizens and visitors an opportunity to rediscover the historical and documentary heritage of the area.
