Saturday 7 February at 4 pm at the ‘Villa Soragna’ Cultural Center in Collecchio. Meeting with the author Valerio Cervetti: presentation by Mayor Maristella Galli, readings by Resi Alberici.
A hundred years, an infinite time, during which anything can happen in a big family. Some emigrate to go to work in the mines in America and after sixty years, however, someone else will go there to study and to live another family experience. Those who had taken to the streets to protest the miserable living conditions will become someone who lights up the world with his work as an electrician and then will oppose the dictatorship he is forced to suffer. Those who have studied, the only ones in the family, will go to war, will be taken prisoner and when they return home they will experience the most distressing disorientation. He had believed in social redemption, he will find himself disarmed in the face of a torn Italy and yet he will not lose hope in a better world. At the end of the war, work will intertwine the lives of a man and a woman; their son, a miracle of love, with a passion for history and storytelling will collect the traces of every family destiny.
During the event there will be musical interludes from ‘The Magic Flute’ by W. A. Mozart, with soprano Stela Dicusara and baritone Fabiano Zani and Maestro Luca Leonetti at the piano.
