To combat light pollution and enhance the stars of the Apennines, La Cura del Bosco, with Appennino Trekking, the Amateur Astronomers Group of Piacenza, the Anahata Yoga Center, the Quinto Quarto and Fantarte Associations of Bobbio, have created a path to learn about the traditions of the Apennines, with astronomical observations, evening walks and meetings around the fire on summer evenings.

To promote scientific dissemination and environmental awareness, a fundraiser and fundraising has also been launched to purchase and install three instruments for measuring the quality of the night sky over the Piacenza Apennines (SQM – Sky Quality Meter) in Capannette di Pey (Zerba), the Lazzarello Observatory (Alta Valtidone) and the Garden of the Master Trees (Bettola).

Creative Workshop and Forest Bathing

7 June, 10 am-6 pm
Lisore, Val d’Aveto

Workshop suitable for all ages to discover the processes that allow you to extract pigments from fruit and vegetables and create an individual painting.
Followed by a farmer’s lunch with local products and traditional wild herbs. In the afternoon until 6 p.m. an immersive experience in the centuries-old chestnut groves that overlook the village.

Forest Bathing hiking

departure from Passo Santa Barbara, Sella dei Generali (Coli)

A hiking Forest Bathing starting at 4.30 pm from the Santa Barbara Pass up to the photographic exhibition of the works of Pino Ballerini which will be illustrated by the Quinto Quarto Association together with the poems of the Seven Suns. At dusk dinner at the camp, with a Celtic evening and at the fall of darkness observation of the night sky by the Piacenza Amateur Astronomers Group.

Forest Bathing and Stargazing

Astronomical Observatory of Lazzarello, Alta Val Tidone

Forest Bathing evening dedicated to the stars organized in collaboration with the Amateur Astronomers Group of Piacenza and the National Institute of Astrophysics.
The experience will combine conscious walking in nature, scientific dissemination and guided observation of the celestial vault. Packed lunch by the individual participant.

Morning workshop open to children and adults dedicated to botanical printing, a technique that allows you to transfer shapes and colors of leaves, herbs and flowers onto natural fabrics. Followed by a farmer’s lunch with local products and traditional wild herbs. In the afternoon until 6 p.m. an immersive experience in the centuries-old chestnut groves that overlook the village.

Forest Bathing and Stargazing

14 August, 5.30-11 pm

Evening of Forest Bathing and astronomical observation at the Garden of the Master Trees in Bettola. After the experience in nature, there will be a convivial dinner and the observation of the summer constellations and the Perseids, the traditional “shooting stars”, with the guidance of the Amateur Astronomers Group of Piacenza.

From Coli to the Church of Sant’Agostino. At about 9 pm, at the church, the Bagai ad Cor association offers a moment dedicated to traditional choirs and poetry readings by Pino Ballerini.
