The AIGAE environmental hiking expert guide Mirna Filippi organizes for Sunday, October 30 a new excursion that has as its protagonist the mountain saffron, a precious product that thanks to the ARMU farm is cultivated and processed in Marzonago, a village in stones located in the Tidoncello valley overlooking the Lazzaro and Lazzarello mountains.
The walk includes the departure from Pecorara, with meeting at 8:45 am and departure at 9:00 am, and the arrival in Marzonago after 7.5 kilometers and a difference in height of about 400 meters, through oak woods, junipers and grazing areas, among suggestive autumn colors in which there is a precious piece of green dotted with purple: these are the tiny corollas of bulbs of the ARMU farm of Alessandro Braga that produces saffron in the ancient school of Marzonago used as a company laboratory. For participants there will be the opportunity to see the harvest and processing of pistils that are transformed into the “red gold” of Val Tidone.
The participation fee is € 12 for adults, € 8 for minors, € 10 for members of the association ‘Sentiero del Tidone APS’: mandatory registration must be received by Saturday 29 October and the excursion will take place with a limited number of participants. All detailed information can be found on the Facebook event or by contacting directly the AIGAE environmental hiking guide Mirna Filippi through the following references: 3923267010 phone (also WhatsApp) or via email filippimirna@gmail.com.
All the excursions of “Val Tidone Lentamente” are limited in number and will comply with anti-gathering regulations: the updated and official calendar is present on the new website www.sentierodeltidone.eu
