The event dedicated to the DOC wine of Val d’Arda is back

Monterosso Val d’Arda Festival

Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May 2026 along the streets of Castell’Arquato

For two days, local wineries will present their wines along the “barricaia” route, which will also be animated by art exhibitions, musical performances and succulent gastronomic expressions. The Monterosso Val d’Arda DOC wine takes its name from the hill that characterizes the landscape of Castell’Arquato, where the soils rich in iron minerals color the lands with a characteristic red color, hence the name. The wine, however, is a white, a melange of various blends in varying proportions (it can contain Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Moscato bianco, Trebbiano Romagnolo, Ortrugo, Bervedino and Sauvignon), produced exclusively in the hilly territories of the municipalities of Vernasca, Alseno, Lugagnano, Castell’Arquato, Gropparello and Carpaneto.
