On Saturday 19 September at 5 pm, the Ettore Guatelli Museum in Collecchio hosts Mario Crispi with Blows. Sounds from Five Continents , an appointment of the XXV edition of Appennino Festival.
Musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Crispi brings to the Museum his research on wind instruments of different musical traditions, from ney to launeddas, from duduk to marranzanu. A journey through sound, memory and cultures of the world, which meets the heritage kept by the Guatelli Museum. Here, in fact, the objects of everyday life collected by Ettore Guatelli tell stories of people, crafts and territories.
The concert thus becomes an opportunity to put different cultures and languages in dialogue, through objects and instruments that, although coming from distant contexts, share the ability to tell the daily life and creativity of the communities that produced and used them. An encounter between material culture and musical tradition, where the objects of the Museum become memory and the breath of the instruments becomes a story.
Admission to the concert: €2
