Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2025 – Castagneto di Baiso (RE)
Saturday from 3.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
Sunday from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.
Among the mountains of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, Castagneto is the village where the La vita selvatica Festival was born and developed. A unique place, overlooking the gullies of Baiso and the surrounding valley, a sunny village surrounded by woods and chestnut groves. Castagneto is home to a widespread museum conceived by the sculptor Vasco Montecchi, who decided to open his birthplace and his works to the public.
In the evocative views that open up in the village there is an open-air exhibition of over thirty works by the sculptor. You can also visit the ancient church dedicated to Saints Antonio and Mauro, walk through the chestnut groves, explore the narrow streets of a unique place. Wild life is born here, at the gates of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, in an area to be explored step by step.
All events, workshops and excursions are free and with free admission.
In parallel there will be a Wild Market … with stands of local farms, naturalistic associations, bookshops, food and natural life stands… with workshops, tastings and small experiences…
