On Saturday 4 July, the Magnani Theatre in Fidenza, on the occasion of Woody Allen’s 90th birthday, will host “God is dead and I don’t feel so good either”, the show by and with Tullio Solenghi & Nidi Ensemble. The show will see Tullio Solenghi on stage engaged with the reading of some texts by Woody Allen (author recently published by La nave di Teseo), combined with the music that characterized his most significant films, performed by Maestro Alessandro Nidi and his Ensemble.
We will thus move from the “Hassidic Tales” to the parody of the Holy Scriptures taken from “Saperla Lunga” to the hilarious “Bestiary” taken from “Citarsi Addosso”, interspersed with pieces by George Gershwin, Tommy Dorsey, Dave Brubeck, with a special tribute to Woody’s mentor, the great “Groucho Marx”, evoked by Klezmer music. An evening in which, in a quick overview, sounds and voices, music and storytelling will alternate in an alternation of close-ups to compose a fun and hypnotic “montage”.
Introduced by Elisabetta Sgarbi.
The event, in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna region and the Municipality of Fidenza, will begin at 9.00 pm and will be introduced by Elisabetta Sgarbi.
