In July, the Municipality of Varsi offers a calendar full of events spread between the capital and its hamlets, with village festivals, markets, music, theater, sports and opportunities to discover the territory of Val Ceno.
It starts on Saturday 11 July in Tosca with the Beer Festival, organized by the Circolo San Filastrio Tosca: a summer evening of conviviality, perfect for experiencing the authentic atmosphere of the small communities of the Apennines.
On Sunday 12 July, there will be a double appointment: the Forte dei Marmi Market will be held in Varsi, while the traditional Festival will be held in Pessola, an ideal opportunity to reach one of the most characteristic hamlets of the area and spend a day among flavours, meetings and village life.
The calendar continues on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 July with Contile in festa, organized by the “San Leonardo” Contile Group: two days dedicated to the hamlet, between sociality and community spirit.
On Sunday 19 July , space for sport with the 14th edition of Varsi Running, a running race that takes runners and enthusiasts along a route of about 13 km in the municipal area. A well-established appointment of the Varsig summer.
On Saturday 25 July, the 2nd Lasagna Festival returns to Villora, organized by the Parish Club of Villora: an evening dedicated to one of the most beloved traditional dishes, to be experienced in company in the heart of the hamlet.
The sporting grand finale is on Sunday 26 July in Pessola with the Monte Dosso Trail, an event dedicated to lovers of running in nature, with trail routes and recreational-motor walking through Apennine landscapes, paths and glimpses of the Ceno Valley.
Throughout the summer, moreover, every Saturday in July and August Contile hosts the Contile Music Festival, while every Sunday in July and August the theater review in Contile is scheduled, both organized by the DolceAcqua Association.
