Every autumn, the fallow deer of the upper Val Taro, between Borgotaro and Compiano, gather within the confines of the Ghirardi Nature Reserve for the peak of their mating season. The large males with huge shovel antlers, in the first hours of daylight meet in clearings called leks, surrounded by females and young eager to participate in the show, among the first colored leaves and the morning mists that rise from the torrents. Route with a bit of ups and downs, requires hiking boots or rubber boots (muddy terrain).
