Free workshop for families

Sunday 15 March 2026 from 15:30 to 17:00Children and their families will be transported to a not too distant past in which video games and television did not exist, but fun was entertained in another way.

Nature offered many elements that, with a little imagination, were transformed into something unique, in engaging and cheerful games to play with friends and often outdoors.

During this afternoon workshop in the Taro Park we will build with natural materials “The game of wolves and sheep” inspired by the version used by our grandparents in the Parma Apennines taken from “Our Destegni”, a collection of old pastimes on display at the Emigrant Museum in Tarsogno (PR).

This game spread to many regions and was initially built with earth, pebbles, seeds, … with what the children could find. At the end of the activity we will take home the game we have built.

The workshop is Sunday 15 March 2026 from 15.30 to 17.00 at the Corte di Giarola Infopoint, in Strada Giarola, 11 in Collecchio (PR) in the Taro Park.

Free activity with compulsory reservation dedicated to families with children aged 6 to 12.
