“Only a well-made historical photograph is capable of catapulting the observer into the past”
Ghenos, a photographic exhibition that offers a total immersion in the history of humanity through 22 works of art, opens to the public. The project, born from the collaboration between photographer Camillo Balossini and Andrea Cavalli of the Bandera Foundation in Busto Arsizio, explores the thin line between documentary research and visual interpretation.
The title of the exhibition, Ghenos, introduces a path that does not aim to illustrate history in a purely didactic way, but to return fragments of life, gestures and atmospheres capable of revealing the profound identity of the eras represented. From the first Neolithic communities to the 40s of the twentieth century, each image acts as a “time machine” for the observer, the result of a meticulous work that combines historical precision, narrative style and attention to detail (of fabrics, everyday tools, postures) making concepts that often remain abstract in history books close and tangible.
Camillo Balossini, a professional photographer since 2007, boasts collaborations with prestigious national and international agencies and publishing houses, including A.N.S.A., Mondadori and DeAgostini. With his brand “Tutta un’altra Storia”, Balossini is committed to enhancing the Italian cultural heritage through photography capable of combining historical precision and narrative power.
Ghenos will be on display at the Castle of Felino (PR) from April 18 to July 26
Tickets will be available on site
