Every first weekend of September in the town of Borgonovo Val Tidone is celebrated the product that has obtained the Municipal Designation of Origin: the Chisöla.
It is a poor product, linked to the peasant world that combines water and flour with the fat element of animal origin, the greaves: food that is produced with pork fat.
Legend has it that in ancient times this food was offered to the army of Barbarossa passing through the lands where the village of Borgonovo Val Tidone later arose. It was 1155.
