Summer 2026 in Alta Valtaro and Valceno is full of events to mark on the agenda: excursions, guided tours, workshops, food and wine experiences and outdoor activities will accompany residents and visitors to discover the area.
Between July and August it will be possible to experience a real journey into the heart of taste with the Experience in Borgotab/Borgolab, dedicated to the Borgotaro PGI Mushroom, scheduled for 4 and 18 July, 8 and 29 August, and then again in September and October. Every Sunday, excluding holidays, visits to the Parmigiano Reggiano dairy also continue, from the production stages to tasting, while for lovers of artisanal productions visits to the Turris Birra brewery are available, from Monday to Saturday in July and August.
There is no shortage of proposals for those who love to move in nature: from March to November the all-mountain MTB and e-bike tours Raida & Magna with Tolasudolsa return, while every weekend from June to September you can participate in Pedala, esplora e gusta!, guided e-MTB excursions through villages, landscapes and local flavors.
Space also for families and curious people with Let’s learn English at the Mushroom Museum, scheduled for 28 June, 11 July and 25 July, and with the Appointment with the mycologist, every Sunday from June to October, to learn about mushrooms and their secrets. On 26 July and 9 Augustthere will also be a wool processing workshop with the AltaValtaro Mountain Wool Group.
For those looking for special experiences, Giacomo Galli’s Unusual Visits will lead to the discovery of churches, palaces and stories of the village: among the appointments, San Rocco unveiled, Unusual Village, Art Aperitif at Palazzo Bertucci, The secrets of San Benedetto di Baselica and Voices from the Village.
Trekking lovers can choose between the night excursions of the Lunatici of Trekking Taro Ceno, with outings on Monte Gottero, Monte Pelpi and Monte Penna, and the appointments Tra natura & cultura, including the night of the shooting stars on Monte Penna, the excursion to Bibola and the Ring of the 3 Regions. In September there are also mycological excursions with Davide and Walter, dedicated to the forest and the habitat of mushrooms.
There is no shortage of activities for those traveling with their dog: with Trekking Dog Adventure there are scheduled outings on Monte Gottero, Lago Grande, Monte Cucchero and routes with gastronomic experiences in the woods.
The calendar is completed by the proposals of the WWF Ghirardi Oasis, with activities to reconnect with nature, and the Taro-Ceno Passport, with free excursions and guided tours in the lesser-known places of the two valleys.
